COVER WARS | COUNTRY WARS

Below is a description of each round, the scoring, rules for the Club Wars Spin-Offs of Country Wars and Cover Wars.

Rounds | Rules

Rules

FAN VOTING: When fans vote, the rule will be one ballot per person, per paid admission. VIP Cards count as a paid admission. Band members will not be eligible to vote. The band that receives the most fan votes will get 10 points. The band that receives the 2nd most fan votes will receive 8 points. The band with the 3rd most fan votes gets 6 points. Bands that finish 4th or lower in the fan votes will get 4 points.

JUDGES SCORES: Judges will rank the bands as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Bands will be awarded 5 points for each 1st place ranking. 4 points for each 2nd place ranking. 3 points for each 3rd place ranking. 2 points for each 4th place or lower ranking.

BONUS POINTS: Bands will get 1 Bonus Point for each 25 Fan Votes they receive. Bands will receive 3 Bonus Points for a unanimous 1st Place ranking from the Judges Scores. Bands will receive 2 Bonus Points for a unanimous 2nd Place ranking from the Judges Scores. Bands will receive 1 Bonus Point for a unanimous 3rd Place ranking from the Judges Scores. Bonus Points from the Judges Scores will only apply at dates with 3 or more Judges.

TIE BREAKER: In the event of a tie. The first tie breaker will be FAN VOTES. The second tie breaker will be JUDGES VOTES.

SET LENGTH: Bands will play 30 minute sets at all dates. There will be a 2 point deduction for set length violation.

PERFORMANCE: Drum set and backline will be provided. top

ELIGIBILITY: For bands to be eligible they must have at least 2 members and be based in Kansas or Missouri.

COVER WARS

PRIZES

• 1st place grand prize will be $1,000.

• 2nd place will receive a gift certificate to Guitar Source in Overland Park, KS.

• Bands that advance from Semi-Final dates will receive $100.

COUNTRY WARS

Country Wars will be ONE NIGHT ONLY event in 2008.

PRIZES

• 1st place grand prize will be $500 and 10 hours of recording time at Chapman Recording.

• 2nd Place will receive a $200 gift certificate to Guitar Source of Overland Park, KS and 5 hours of recording time at Chapman Recording.

• 3rd place will receive 5 hours of recording time at Chapman Recording.
